Donald K. Allen for President
Fireside Chats
In the 1930s and 40s, President Franklin D. Roosevelt spoke to the people of the United States almost every week to discuss the status of our country. Initially it was to help calm fears of The Depression, then to talk about World War II and how our country needed to work hard together and endure this threat to liberty and freedom. As President, I intend to resurrect this program of direct communication with you, the voter, and all citizens of the USA. It will be televised in an informal manner and I will discuss events in Congress and the world that may affect every one of us. I will make you aware of negative actions taking place in Congress and what you, as citizens, can do to affect the outcome of Congressional decisions. I may call on you for help to educate your representatives and senators on the true will of the people.
Keeping you all informed will make our country stronger, give you a better voice in your government, and allow me to do a better job as your President. I am here to serve you, and not just the powerful and ultra-wealthy.
