Our Borders

The Mexican government is not only ignoring the massive illegal immigration into the United States, it is abetting it. There is only one way to minimize it, and that is by fencing the border and patrolling it, either technologically or with human border guards, or both. I am for a “visitor worker” program being established with Mexico that would allow their citizens to come into our country for work. It would cost THEM nothing but the time to obtain positive identification via fingerprinting and DNA sampling (a swab of the mouth or a hair root), producing a secure photo ID card. No need to worry about them paying income tax (see Taxes). I am also for positively identifying all of the illegal immigrants that now reside in the United States.

Roughly half of the illegal immigrants in our country came in legally on student, tourist, or other visas and didn’t go back home when the visa expired.  Everyone entering this country on a visa must be tracked and checked upon periodically.  We must know where they are at all times.  This is how the 9/11 terrorists entered the USA.  Nobody went after them when their visas expired.  We cannot be so unconcerned when those who entered legally do not leave on time.
